Does income protection payout for Parkinson’s disease?

YES – if you’re unable to work for over 4 weeks (usually) due to symptoms of Parkinson’s disease then your income should be covered.

This type of policy is designed to replace your income for a period of up to 12 or 24 months if you are signed-off work due to sickness or injury. Most policies will pay up to 60 to 80% of your gross monthly income.

You can claim for symptoms of Parkinson’s disease while you are unable to work and you should also get support to help you return to work.
