How does Allianz home insurance work?
Your Allianz home insurance policy will cover either your building, its contents, or both for 1 year from the date that your policy starts. Your policy will usually be annually renewable, which means that Allianz will automatically renew your cover at the end of your policy term.
When you apply for Allianz home insurance, you will be asked various questions about your circumstances and your home. Allianz will ask for details such as:
- What is your address? (your postcode will affect the cost of your policy).
- Who will be living in the property (adults, children, pets)?
- How secure is your home? (questions about locks, alarms etc.)
- How much is the rebuild cost of your home?
- How much is the contents of your home worth?
Once you have an Allianz home insurance policy, you will be able to claim for a range of events that cause damage to the structure of your home or the items inside.
Note: If you wish to cancel or change your policy instead of renewing your current home insurance, you will need to contact Allianz directly to let them know.
